How To Build The Life You’re Meant To live

Most of the struggles we face in life—whether in career, relationships, or personal fulfillment—are tied to identity. If we remember who we truly are, everything shifts. But here’s the problem: many of us are living as a version of ourselves that was shaped before we even had a say—by family, culture, religion, and society.

This creates The Identity Gap:

The Identity Gap = The difference between who you think you are (or who you pretend to be) and who you actually are.
The further we are from our real selves, the more exhausted, stuck, and powerless we feel. The closer we are to authenticity, the more power we have to create and shape our lives.

A big reason people feel lost—especially in their 20s—is because they are living based on values they were told to have, not values they have actually chosen.

Ask Yourself:
✔️ Do I believe this because it’s truly mine, or because I was told to?
✔️ What parts of my identity feel forced or inauthentic?
✔️ Where in my life do I feel the most resistance?🌱 Your power lies in shedding the expectations that don’t belong to you and aligning with what does.

When we live in alignment with our true selves, life starts to work for us instead of against us. We shift from feeling like life is happening to us to realizing that life is happening through us.

How To Bridge The Gap:
✅ Question the beliefs and values you’ve inherited.
✅ Be brutally honest about where you are not showing up as your real self.
✅ Start making choices that feel true to you, not just socially acceptable.

What’s one small change you can make this week that brings you closer to your authentic self?

If you feel drained, frustrated, or stuck, there’s a high chance you’re operating from an identity that isn’t actually yours. Pretending to be someone we’re not takes enormous energy—it’s why so many people feel like life is an uphill battle.

Signs you’re living from your ideal (false) self:

❌ You feel disconnected or unfulfilled, despite “checking the boxes.”
❌ You find yourself constantly seeking external validation.
❌ You feel like life is unfair or happening to you.

Signs you’re moving toward your real (true) self:
✅ You make choices that feel right for you, even if they go against the norm.
✅ You stop needing outside approval to feel whole.
✅ You experience more flow, ease, and purpose.

This isn’t about creating yourself—it’s about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be. It’s a process of peeling back the layers, one by one, until you find the core truth of who you are. Remember, this is not a one-time decision, this is an ongoing journey of self-awareness and alignment in your life.

Your ability to build the life you’re meant to live comes down to closing The Identity Gap.

The closer you are to your true self, the more:
✔️ Clarity you have about what you want.
✔️ Energy you have to create the life you desire.
✔️ Freedom you feel from the pressure to “perform” for others.

So, what’s one truth about yourself that you’ve been avoiding? It’s time to embrace it.
